A glimpse of some of the higher level art direction from working as Production Designer on set of the 2016 feature film 'Crowning Jules' by Miles Media, and directed by Dennis Thomas. The film stars Jacqueline and Elizabeth Labadie, Kevin Farley (brother of SNL's Chris Farley), Kristy Swanson (Buffy, Big Daddy, Ferris Bueller's Day Off), Kenton Duty (Disney), Derek Brandon (Mickey Matson Series), Deezer D Thompson (ER), and Lisa Varga (ABC's Homeland, Marley & Me).
As Production Designer, Jen concepted and managed all of the higher level art direction for all the various sub art departments like Set Design and dressing (sketching plans for each location, and dressing lists to match the character and storyline), Character development (visual boards for each main character), Wardrobe, Props (including listed, unlisted, and 'hero' creation props), and graphics. She also designed and constructed all of the various graphic elements needed throughout the film (over 30 pieces), from things like band logos, to large foam stage diecuts, signage, posters, and newspapers just to name a few.
Jen worked alongside a phenomenal art department that included Heather Strycker - Wardrobe Director, Lauren Kirkpatrick - Hair & Makeup, Holly DeBoer - Set Dressing, Maris Hovee - Props Master, Andy Swisher - Art PA, and Kendall Locey - Wardrobe Assistant.
